MABC Begins 15th Year at Lower School

Every
morning at 8:20 the lights in each Lower School classroom dim as
students turn their attention to the video screen against the
wall. It's time to watch MABC's daily broadcast, which is run
almost entirely by members of the fifth grade. Tuesday was the
first broadcast for the 2008-2009 school year. Eight students
produce each show, which includes school news, a weather forecast,
video updates of Lower School field trips, and a grand finale of
dancing puppets. Every fifth grader will experience the news show
in front of and behind the camera throughout the school year. Mrs.
Polefka is the Producer of the show, and she, Mrs. Schenkel and
Mrs. Shannon help edit the scripts the students write each week.
