Saturday's sunshine and blue sky were the
perfect backdrop to a day of field hockey at the Upper School.
The annual Field Hockey Play Day drew ten other teams to the
school, who played a series of half-hour games from 9am to 3pm.
Parents, faculty, alumni and friends gathered to cheer on the
Lions. Excellent lunch was served by M.A. volunteers in a tent
just off Shields Field. The most popular sandwich, the chicken
breast, was back this year. Former Athletics Director Betsy
Wilson attended the event and oversaw the yearly updating and
editing of the High School Rule Book. M.A. coach Deb Bross was
pleased by the level of play of all of the participating teams,
and is excited about this year's M.A. team in particular.
