Michael Brolly Places in Woodworking Challenge

"I voted for you, Mr. Brolly."
"I loved your chair and I'll tell you why". Upper
School Woodworking teacher Michael Brolly was surrounded by fans
of his work Sunday afternoon at the reception for the Wharton
Esherick Museum's 15th annual thematic woodworking competition.
This year was the Challenge of the Chair, and Mr. Brolly's
"Altar Chair" claimed the second place prize. The
prestigious competition drew almost 70 entries from various
artists, with this year's challenge considered to be the
toughest so far. Visitors are welcome to view the top ten
entries at the Wharton Esherick Museum in Valley Forge, PA from
now until December 31, 2008. Congratulations, Mr. Brolly!
